What is the price of a storage unit?

Our prices are subject to availability and location. Prices may start as low as $31.00 per week of rental at our Toronto location, $22.20 at our Scarborough location, and $27.50 at our Mississauga location. Please call our office for details on specific unit prices, discounts, and special promotions.

Is there a discount for repeat customers?

Yes, we have special discounts for repeat customers.

Is there a discount for seniors?

Absolutely! We can provide a 10% discount to our senior tenants

Do you offer discounts for longer rental terms?

We do offer discounts for longer rental terms. Please check with our storage representatives about what discount brings the best value for your storage needs.

What discounts do you offer?

We offer ongoing discounted prices for our repeat customers, senior citizens, students, military, police, and teachers.

Do you have any promotions?

We have customized manager promotions, senior discounts, move-in specials, long-term rental specials, and student discounts. Please speak to one of our storage specialists for details.

Do you accept deliveries on behalf of a tenant?

Yes, we do accept deliveries free of charge. For direct deliveries to your unit during business hours, please arrange with our office’s staff.

Do you have dollies and pump trucks available?

Yes, for our valued customers, we provide dollies and pump trucks free of charge.

Do you offer insurance?

Yes, we offer storage-specialized insurance coverage. Please talk to one of our storage specialists for more details.

Can you recommend any moving companies?

Of course, you can call our offices and a representative will be more than happy to recommend a moving company in your area that is right for your specific moving needs.

Do you have any assistance when the office is closed?

Yes, an on-site manager is at the facility 24-hours a day.

What isn’t allowed to be stored in a unit?

You can store any personal or commercial items, except food products and dangerous goods, like explosives and flammables.

Is there a minimum rental period or can I leave at any time?

The minimum rental period is 4 weeks. However, you can continue using the storage unit for as long as you need. We operate on an open-ended rental agreement, and you will only need to give us 2 days notice to move out.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept payments with any major credit card, debit, cheque, e-transfer, or cash.

How can I book a unit?

You can book a unit online or in person at one of our facilities.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Once you decide which unit is right for your needs, there will be a rental agreement that you will be asked to sign. However, this is an open-ended contract. There is a 4-week minimum rental period, but you won’t be locked into a long-term contract. When you decide that you no longer need the unit, we only need a 2 day move-out notice.

I don’t need the unit right now, but I would like to reserve for later. Is that possible?

We can take a reservation for later, once you know what unit you need. Please call our storage specialists and they will make sure you will have the space required on a specific future date.

Can I see the storage unit before committing to rent the space?

Absolutely! We encourage our customers to come visit us. Please call our office and we will make an appointment reservation just for you.

What should I do if I don’t need the unit anymore?

Just give us 2 days notice when you want to move out. Make sure you remove the lock from your unit. We refund any unused rent on a weekly basis.

If I made a payment in advance, will I lose my money?

Only the first 4-week period is non-refundable. Anything after the initial 4 weeks rental period will be refunded on a weekly basis. We only require 2 days move out notice. Make sure that you have removed the lock from your unit, and that you have completely removed all the items, and we will proceed with the move out process.

I need a specific unit size. Can you help me?

We carry more than the standard storage unit sizes. From small units of 24 sq. ft. to industrial spaces of 1,000 sq. ft., we have a solution for every storage need.

What is the height of the storage unit?

Our storage units vary from 8.5 ft. to 11.5 ft. depending on the storage unit’s size.

Are all the units on the ground floor?

All our units are ground-level, to provide convenience and ease of access to our tenants.

What is the smallest storage size you have?

The smallest unit size we have at any of our locations is 3×8 ft. Please visit our Sizes Page to see the various sizes available and what you can store in each.

What is the largest unit size you have?

What is the clearance height and width of the storage unit doors?

Depending on the type of the unit you choose, our doors’ clearance is between 6 ft. and 8 ft.

What are your office hours?

Our Toronto office hours are:
Monday to Friday: 8 am to 6 pm

Can I access the unit 24 hours a day?

Yes, with your unique access code, you will be able to access your unit 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Do I have access to the unit when the office is closed?

Yes. Once you have rented with us, you will have 24-hour access to your unit, 365 days per year.

What type of security do you offer?

Your belongings’ security is our top priority. We have managers who live on-site, computerized access control, unique access codes for each tenant, high-security locks, and individually alarmed units.

How easy is it to access my unit?

At Storwell Self Storage, all storage units are designed to provide the utmost ease of access. All our units are ground-level with most units having drive-up access. You don’t have to worry about loading docks, elevators, and endless narrow corridors. Just drive up your car or truck in front of the unit and load/unload your belongings.

Can I come to my unit with a big truck?

Yes, our storage facilities are designed with large aisles, to accommodate the access of large moving trucks.

Do you have vehicle storage?

We do offer outdoor vehicle storage. However, there are some by-law restrictions for the city of Toronto. Please call us to obtain details of what can and cannot be stored on our premises.

Can I store a car in a unit?

Depending on the size of your vehicle. We have units that can accommodate a regular-size sedan or SUV, or a pickup truck. Please call us with the details of the vehicle you want to store, and we will be happy to help you.

Do you have any ground units that I can park my car in?

Yes, we do have ground-level, drive-up units for vehicle storage.

What size of unit would I need to store a motorcycle?

Depending on the type of motorcycle you have, for motorcycle storage you may want a 3×8 ft. up to a 5×15 ft. unit storage.

What size of unit would I need to store a Sea-Doo?

Depending on the size of your Sea-Doo and trailer, we offer a variety of storage units from 5×15 ft. to 10×10 ft.

Can we leave the truck on the premises overnight?

Yes, we do have parking spaces available for overnight truck parking.
